4 months ago we already had an overview of updated Facebook App for Android, yesterday Facebook released new version 1.9 of the application.
According to official blog post, Facebook for Android 1.9 includes:
- Performance improvements.
- New messenger features, like adding adding people on the fly to the group conversation.
- Shortcuts to share photos and messages faster.
New Facebook application got some features which were available only in standalone Messenger app: mobile/online status, you can add people on the fly to the started group conversation, your contact list sorted by the people you interact with frequently.
After installation of the application, camera shortcuts and messaging shortcuts will also appear in your Android app tray.
There are some reports about issues in the new version like following:
“I have recently upgraded facebook app to latest version 1.9. App will not even load newsfeed and after a while of loading, will announce “connection lost”.
Facebook replied that aware of the problem and in V1.9.1 it should be fixed.
